Burntwood's Friday
Painting Group

New Horizons Community Enterprise welcomes Burntwood's Friday Painting Group to the Blakenall Village Centre's Atrium Gallery.

The group of amateur artists that gets together each week, on a Friday.... will be holding its' exhibition at the centre from 15th May until 20th June 2009.

The group is non-profit making with any spare funding used for demonstrations and workshops by other artists; the group members also like to get together to talk about exhibitions they have attended.

Members have a broad range of ability, and use a wide range of techniques and materials, such as; watercolour, pastel, pen and wash, and oils.

The group regards their evening as a social gathering of like minds with a common interest and aims to provide an interesting time for their members by means of exchanging information on the various techniques.

The Friday Painting Group is a friendly group offering constructive criticism of each other's work whilst having a cup of tea/coffee and an obligatory biscuit during the evening. A library of over 30 DVD's and books is available which are loaned, free of charge.
