2008 Calendar Walsall's New Deal has launched its first calendar. The calendar is to be distributed to all of the 4,500 homes within the New Deal areas of Blakenall, Bloxwich and Leamore and features images and people from around the area. Alan Venables said; "We are very pleased with the calendar, and we sincerely hope that our local residents will find it useful and enjoy seeing the images". Anyone else wanting a copy of the calendar should get in touch with the Communications Team at Walsall's New Deal on 01922 712858; first come first served! New Deal is also appealing to local groups to get in touch so that their events can be featured on the 2009 calendar. Ends..... The initiative received a £52 million Government grant from the Department for Communities and Local Government (formerly the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister) to be spent on sustainable regeneration spread over a ten year period that commenced 2001. |
