New Horizons Gathering
on Charity Walk

A local Men's Group will be taking a 'big stride' in an effort to raise money for
the Everyman Campaign.

The New Horizons supported men's group 'The Gathering' will be doing their sponsored walk as a part of National Men's Health Week around Leamore Park on Sunday 21st June at the Blakenall and Leamore Summer Festival.

The walk will start at 11am, and as it is Father's Day, dads and their families are especially invited, with some of the more adventurous participants turning up it in fancy dress.

The overall aim will be to have some fun and do some exercise whilst raising funds for the campaign.

Places are still available and if you would like to take part in the walk then contact Paul Smith New Horizons Community Development Worker on 01922 711228 or smithpaulw@walsall.gov.uk

Editors notes:

Everyman is the UK's leading male cancer campaign, funding groundbreaking research into prostrate and testicular cancer. Funds raised go towards helping their scientists to reach the ultimate goal that one day people may live their lives free from the fear of cancer as a life-threatening disease.
