'Aloud' in West Bromwich?








Walsall's New Deals Dance Group 'New Deals Aloud' are competing in the West Midlands Street Dance Competition on the 14th July, in West Bromwich.

Nazrana Kausar youth worker with Walsall's New Deal said; "Our group is one of 10 teams from New Deal for Communities areas. The competition is open for those aged 10 - 16 years and there will also be workshops on the day for young people to get involved in and give them a great opportunity to share ideas and socialise with other young people from similar communities".

The three judges from the National Dance Society will be eliminating 2 dance groups every hour with a final dance off for first and second place.

Walsall's New Deal for Communities is a regeneration initiative working in the areas of Blakenall, Bloxwich and Leamore. The initiative received a £52 million Government grant from the Department for Communities and Local Government (formerly the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister) to be spent on sustainable regeneration spread over a ten year period that commenced 2001.
