Elizabeth Whitehouse
at the Atrium

Elizabeth Whitehouse local craftsperson has helped Walsall's New Deal to launch their new display cases for craft and 3 dimensional works.

Elizabeth works in a range of materials and styles, producing objects, hats and bags, some practical and some for fun.

Elizabeth said; "As a penniless fashion student at Leeds University, the notion of creating a fabric from something that would normally be thrown away was appealing to me. Making hand bags from used tea bags was an original idea that has 'brewed' over the years, to produce other items in this unique material. Since then, I have designed bags in more sophisticated fabrics, producing one-off unique evening and day bags".

Andy Bradley Communications Manager for Walsall's New Deal said; "Elizabeth's work is creating a lot of interest, she is a skilled craftsperson, making practical objects that are unique; her work also demonstrates her keen sense of humour, in her 'construction' of tea bag, bags!".

Elizabeth is a member of the Walsall Society of Artists and regularly exhibits in their annual show. Elizabeth takes commission work and can be contacted on: Tel: 0121 748 2723 / Mob: 07751 743606 / Email: izzybird13@yahoo.co.uk.

If you are interested in showing your work please contact Andy Bradley or Sally Gamston on 01922 712858.
