Walsall's New Deal,
better than excellent!
Walsall's New Deal has been acclaimed as an 'EXCELLENT' and 'IMPROVING STRONGLY' New Deal for Communities Partnership.
Last year the partnership was classified as an 'Excellent' NDC.
Walsall's New Deal partnership has heard that its performance in this years Performance Management Review has been nationally accredited as 'Excellent' and that it is 'improving strongly'.
Each year the Audit Commission evaluates the performance of each of the 39 New Deal for Communities partners in England and this banding of 'excellent' and improving strongly' is a reflection of the significant progress and achievements that this partnership has made and is the highest level of achievement possible.
Paul Rowlands, chief executive said; "Our success is due to the hard work and dedication of the whole team, in particular the time commitment and enthusiasm shown by Resident Directors. I would also like to thank the support and commitment of all Stakeholder Directors and Walsall M.B.C. as our Accountable Body, in making our recognition as an "EXCELLENT" NDC partnership possible".
Paul went onto say "I believe that our staff team has been outstanding and this recognition would not have been possible without their energy, professionalism and commitment to community regeneration".

Walsall's New Deal for Communities is a regeneration initiative working in the areas of Blakenall, Bloxwich and Leamore. The initiative received a £52 million Government grant from the Department for Communities and Local Government (formerly the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister) to be spent on sustainable regeneration spread over a ten year period that commenced 2001. |
