be unveiled On Friday 1st May at 10.30 members of the New Horizons Community Enterprise Board will be attending the unveiling of their Roll of Honour. The Roll of Honour is a tribute to the volunteers who have, and continue to selflessly serve the people of Blakenall, Bloxwich and Leamore on the Walsall's New Deal / New Horizons Community Enterprise Board. The event will commence at 10.30hrs with an opening address by Mr. Tom Perrett MBE, chairman of New Horizons Community Enterprise and will be followed by the Mayor of Walsall Cllr. Tom Ansell officially unveiling the board with Tom's assistance. Tom Perrett MBE chairman of New Horizons Community Enterprise said; "I am proud to be associated with these men and women who have given so much of their time and energy to the service of their community". The initiative received a £52 million Government grant from the Department for Communities and Local Government (formerly the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister) to be spent on sustainable regeneration spread over a ten year period that commenced 2001. |
