Judges due to inspect Blakenall's Blooms
This year Blakenall will be 'bloomin' marvellous' as the area has entered in to the Heart of England's In Bloom Competition as a Neighbourhood Awards entry.
On Monday 28th July, judges of Heart of England in Bloom will be 'casting an eye or two' over the efforts of our green fingered young people and our New Deal gardeners who have been busy brightening up their area over the last few months.
After obtaining a merit in last years Neighbourhood Awards competition, Blakenall will be hoping for better this time.
New Deal staff, working with Neighbourhood Nature have put in a lot of hard work to ensure that the village looks the best it possibly can ahead of the judges visit and are hopeful that the judges will appreciate the effort that has been made.
The judging party will be taken on a tour of the area on the morning to meet the people involved and see for themselves what has been achieved.
