'Model Mayhem'









Walsall's New Deal welcomes Blakenall model maker Brett Lyon to the
Blakenall Village Centre.


Brett uses a wide range of working methods to create his art and has over six years of experience working in the arts.

Brett particularly enjoys making sci-fi and horror figures.

This is Brett's 4th exhibition having shown at;
  • Light Exhibition (Water Walk Way)
  • Harris Pipework Fabrications Ltd
  • Fine Art Degree Show Untitled exhibition at the University of Wolverhampton.
Brett works in the popular New Horizon Restaurant at the Blakenall Village Centre that is run by Eurest Services, as a Kitchen Porter.

Brett says "I believe my work showcases the art of model making to its full potential. My goal is to create artwork that will inspire everyone".

Walsall's New Deal for Communities is a regeneration initiative working in the areas of Blakenall, Bloxwich and Leamore. The initiative received a £52 million Government grant from the Department for Communities and Local Government (formerly the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister) to be spent on sustainable regeneration spread over a ten year period that commenced 2001.
