Local youth volunteer
for sport

Walsall's New Deal Sports Development Team is working with the Co-operative 'StreetGames' Young Volunteering project to support young sporting volunteers based in the New Deal area.

On Wednesday 16th April New Deal's Sports Development team will be launching the project at the Young Person's information Centre with the young volunteers aged between 16 - 21years who have volunteered to work in their local area.

Beth Alvey, New Deal's Sports Development officer said; "The volunteering scheme is a great chance for some of our 'older' sports enthusiasts to get involved and is an opportunity for them to give something back to their community".

'StreetGames' will also be there to present the Streetmark Award to Walsall's New Deal, this award recognises the work done between the two organisations.

For more information about the event please contact Beth Alvey on 01922 685777 or mobile: 07725 702936.
