'Walking Cowboy'!....









'The Walking Cowboy' will saunter into primary schools in the New Deal area from Monday 24th September.

The production is by Paw Print Theatre Company and is based on safe and sustainable travel to and from school.

The venues for the week are as follows, times listed are performance finish at which point the cast and students will be available for photo opportunities.

24th September
Sunshine Infant and Nursery School (14:45hrs)

25th September
Harden Primary School, Masefield Road (11:00hrs)

St Peters Catholic Primary, Lichfield Road (15:00hrs)

26th September
Blakenall Heath School, Field Road (11:00hrs)

Green Rock, Mersey Road (15:00hrs)

27th September
Lower Farm Primary, Bakewell Close (11:00hrs)

Leamore Primary, Bloxwich Road (15:00hrs)

28th September
Little Bloxwich, Grenfell Road (11:00hrs)

Bloxwich CE Primary, Bloxwich High Street (15:00hrs)

Insp. Lisa Robson said; "This will be a fun way for the children to learn about the importance of road safety, as well as teaching them about different methods of travel other than by car".

The play has been funded by Walsall's New Deal.

Walsall's New Deal for Communities is a regeneration initiative working in the areas of Blakenall, Bloxwich and Leamore. The initiative received a £52 million Government grant from the Department for Communities and Local Government (formerly the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister) to be spent on sustainable regeneration spread over a ten year period that commenced 2001.
