Pauline Merrick Memorial Fund
On July 2005 Pauline Merrick passed away following a long and courageous struggle against illness.
Pauline was a great advocate for anything that would benefit her community and she worked hard for many charities and causes. She had a particular interest in the needs of the Travelling Community; however it was with young people that she was most involved.
Pauline helped to set up the local Youth Council, and for many years worked with the youth centre at Green Rivers as well as organising holidays and days out for the children and families in the area.
Pauline's warmth and compassion will long be remembered. The lasting legacy of her work in the area is reflected in the work of Walsall's New Deal for which she worked so hard, to benefit of the local people.
