What is Walsall's New Deal?
Walsall's New Deal for Communities is a regeneration initiative working in the areas of Blakenall, Bloxwich East and Leamore. The initiative received a £52 million Government grant from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister to be spent on sustainable regeneration spread over a ten year period that commenced 2001.
Walsall New Deal for Communities is committed to regeneration of the New Deal area, involved with a number of new of local projects working through our six theme groups:
1. Employment, Skills & Business
2. Education & Learning
3. Housing & Environment
4. Crime & Community Safety
5. Health & Well Being
6. Community Empowerment
Our initiative is firmly based on the needs and wants of local people and partnership working with service providers in our area.
